13. Super High Me
We’re kicking off our list of the 13 best stoner movies with a well-regarded documentary that explores what happens when someone stops smoking pot for 30 days and then smokes every day for 30 days. It’s a pretty compelling watch, but not while you’re high.

11. A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas
There needs to be more weed in this movie, but the fact that Neil Patrick Harris stuck to the same character throughout the film franchise, even after he came out, is incredible enough that I couldn’t leave it off the list of the best stoner movies ever.

10. Ted
I consider Ted a borderline stoner movie. It is a late bloomer’s coming of age story if anything. But, when you’re high as f***, Ted is funny as shit. I think we can all related to feeling a bit like a loser sometimes.

There’s less here about weed culture than all of the films ranked high on our list of the best stoner movies, but it’s f***ing hilarious and when the f*** is a sequel coming out? I need more of this in my life.

Others would rank this stoner film higher on the list, but I think this is fair. I don’t consider it as good of a sequel as I do Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. Sorry but not sorry, the movie missed Chris Tucker.

George W. Bush smokes weed in this movie, and a character actually said “cockmeat sandwich.” What isn’t to love?

If you’ve never had the munchies with a specific craving in mind, you can’t comprehend what someone will do to fill that craving. If I smoke after midnight, I have to get Taco Bell. Nothing I can do. I understand this epic stoner movie.

4. Dazed and Confused
This is just a great film. I remember watching it with my mom’s cousin when I was about ten years old, and he told me, “one day, this shit is going to change your life.” How right he was. <3

I can feel the hate already! Yes, Up in Smoke isn’t number one, and I don’t care if you don’t agree (that’s a lie, please like me). Maybe I find the humour stale, or I’m just too uptight, but I can’t justify this film as the best of the best. It serves a crucial role in weed culture, but it isn’t the best stoner movie of all time.

1. Friday
This is going to be a controversial choice for the best stoner movie, but Friday was a damn fine film in its own right, and that helps it reach the top of this list. It is the best stoner movie of all-time.
